I've been eyeing up smores desserts for a few weeks now (found this on Cooking with my Kid). Not entirely sure why, as I like smores, but never crave them. I also don't like marshmallows, except in s'mores! These things are delicious. Messy, gooey, fantastic, and even better than a real s'more! I want to eat one after another, but of course I won't!
Crust Instructions
-
1) Stir together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
-
2) Add in vanilla and egg.

-
5) Divide dough in half.
-
6) Spread half of dough over bottom of greased 8 x 8 pan.
Filling Instructions
-
1) Lay out chocolate over crust.
-
2) Spread 1/2 of marshmallow creme over chocolate.
-
3) Spread second half of dough over top of creme. (easiest if you flatten the crust and spread in chunks over cream).

-
5) Let cool completely before cutting into or it will fall apart.

I tried this recipe from Cooking with my Kid as well, but yours looks so much better than mine. How did you get the smores bar to cut into such nice pieces? Mine just fell apart.
By the way, I love the marshmallow dripping down in the picture. Very nice touch

Hey Ariella-
I made sure the crust was stuck together. Do this by hand so it forms a ball of dough. Then pack it down on the bottom of the pan (8x8).
Layer the chocolate.
Layer the marshmallow creme.
Roll out the second layer of crust and place in pieces over marshmallow fluff making sure it covers the entire thing and there aren’t many gaps. Make sure you cook it long enough (but not too long). I cooked mine at least 30 minutes and checked it often.
Finally, be sure to let the bars cool before cutting them or the chocolate will start to melt all over (unless you’re going for that effect like in the pic).
Hopefully this helps!

I’d love to make these but the baking instructions are missing. Instructions stop at “Spread in flattened chunks over cream”
Comment says to bake long enough-but not to long but some time and temperatures sure would help!!!
